The deceased was a Youth Services Librarian at Keshen Goodman Public Library. According to the reports, Chantale Pard passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Speaking of her age, Chantale Pard was 39 years old at the time of her passing. She was born on May 29, 1984. She was a Youth Services Librarian at Keshen Goodman Public Library. Notably, Chantale Pard also authored a book titled “STEM Programming for All Ages”. For the unversed, the deceased was a LIS PhD student at Western University in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies. Reportedly, Chantale practiced Youth Services Librarian with Halifax Public Libraries.
She was a former BCC at BlackBerry Ltd located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Also, she was a former Youth Intern at Halifax Public Libraries including the Alderney Gate Branch at Halifax Regional CAP Association, and a former Library Assistant at Map and Data Centre Western Libraries. She worked as a former Librarian-Teen Specialist at Lethbridge Public Library located in Lethbridge, Alberta. At the time of her passing, she was a Youth Services Librarian at Halifax Public Libraries.
A celebration of life gathering for Chantale is scheduled on Friday, January 26, 2024, at JA Snow Funeral Home located at 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS B3S0E1, from 2 PM to 4 PM, followed by a celebration of life gathering from 6 PM to 8 PM. The news of Chantale Pard’s death was publicly shared by Bridget Burke Purdy who bid farewell to Chantale Pard. She said, “Goodbye to you, my sister-mother, Chantale Pard. To the incredible woman who got me through the first year of university – thank you. Looking back, it was a bigger blessing than I realized at the time. Her cause of death remains unknown.
