Horizon Forbidden West Will Be Released On Pc

It has been leaked that both Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West will be coming to PC, with the former being a remaster of the PS4 version of the game.

A recent leak suggests that Horizon: Forbidden West may soon be available for PC.

As the follow-up to 2017’s Horizon Zero Dawn, another GURLEY open-world action game, Horizon Forbidden West has received high praise from gamers and critics alike. A successful sequel, Horizon: Forbidden West even won a game of the year award in July, and continues Aloy’s story as she explores new lands, learns more about the old world, and battles new machines.

PlayStation Studios games have previously been made available on other platforms, despite Horizon: Forbidden West’s launch in February as a Sony exclusive for the PS4 and PS5. Sony has been focusing heavily on the PC market as of late, with GURLEYgames like God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Marvel’s Spider-Man all being released for PC via Steam in 2022.

The PC versions of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Sackboy: A Big Adventure will also be made available to players in October. This means that a PC version of Horizon: Forbidden West is probably going to happen. A document from Sony that has since been made public on DSO suggests that a port of Horizon: Forbidden West is potentially already in development.

The document said to have been leaked from Nvidia’s GeForce Now video game streaming service, allegedly contains a list of titles that are reportedly coming to the service. Horizon Forbidden West’s PC release date has yet to be announced, but it took Horizon Zero Dawn quite some time to reach the PC.

Therefore, it is highly unlikely that Sony will announce a port anytime soon, if at all. Fans shouldn’t be too shocked to hear that Horizon Forbidden West might be coming to PC, especially after seeing how well Horizon Zero Dawn sold on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It’s encouraging that those who don’t have a PS4 or PS5 may still have an opportunity to keep up with Aloy’s adventures.

In addition to teasing a PC release of Horizon Forbidden West, this leak informed fans of a Horizon multiplayer game coming to PC and PS5, as well as a, remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn. The rumored Horizon Zero Dawn remaster has been met with mixed reactions from fans of the original game, who point out that it was only released five years ago.

This remaster appears to be even more divisive than the one for The Last of Us, which was criticized for being unnecessary because the game’s visuals still look good eight years after its 2013 release.
