HONOR Magic Vs Specs Leaked: In preparation for its November 23rd release, Honor is preparing to unveil the Honor 80 series. The Honor Magic Vs foldable smartphone, which will be released with the mid-range handset, will feature improvements over the Honor Magic V, which was released earlier this year. So, let’s have a look at the new and better foldable and see what it has to offer.
Design And Display
If we believe the leaks and official photos, the smartphone’s design hasn’t changed much from what we’ve seen so far. There are still three cameras in a vertical array on the back, which is unchanged.
There have been rumblings that Honor has refined the hinge design to eliminate the wrinkle often associated with foldable smartphones. The drive is also rumoured to be more compact and lighter than the previous generation Magic V.
There is talk of it weighing 261g, a significant weight drop from the 288-293g (depending on the colour version) of the Magic V. The screen is rumoured to be identical, so we may anticipate a 6.45-inch outside display with Full High Definition Plus (FHD+) resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
There’s talk of a 7.9-inch OLED panel being used for the internal display, packing a resolution of 2272 x 1984 pixels, 381 PPI pixel density, and either a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. Reports suggest that a fingerprint reader is integrated into its side.
Expect the device’s specifications to be largely similar to the Magic V, with a few tweaks here and there. The first change is an upgrade in the system-on-a-chip (SoC) from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

It is anticipated that the new foldable’s energy efficiency and thermals will both see substantial improvements thanks to this upgrade, with performance seeing just slight gains at most. The second revision is envisioned as a marginal increase in energy storage capacity.
The battery capacity has been increased from 4,750mAh to 5,000mAh, making it significantly larger than the one in the Magic V. The rapid charging will remain the same at 66W. New official pictures have also suggested stylus capability, though it’s unlikely to include a dedicated storage compartment for the accessory.

In terms of photography, we should expect a triple snapper arrangement at the back, comprising 50MP primary (f/1.9 aperture), 50MP spectrally enhanced (f/2.0 aperture), and 50MP ultrawide (f/2.2 aperture) cameras.
Dual 42MP cameras, one external and one inside in the screen are expected for selfies. RAM and storage options are believed to be 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB and the gadget may come pre-loaded with Android 13 OS with Magic UI 7.0.
Pricing & Availability
Pricing of the Honor Magic Vs has been kept closely under wraps, but, we may estimate it to start around 9,999 Yuan, which was the launch pricing of the Honor Magic V.
So far, a single Gold colour choice with a wavy pattern on the back has been unveiled, but the gadget will likely come with a couple of additional colour variations.
