Google celebrates Japanese Brazilian artist Tommy Ohtake’s 110th birthday with a Doodle

On 21st November 2023. Tuesday, the Google Doodle is officially celebrating the 110th birthday of Japanese Brazilian artist Tommy Ohtake. She was the inspiration of many people. Till now a lot of people celebrate the birthday of Ohtake even after her passing because people still believe in her. But on the other hand, many people have forgotten about her and some people do not even know about her so because of that Google Doodle is here to tell you about the great artist. Tommy Ohtake was born on 21st November 1913 in Kyoto, the Empire of Japan. She was a famous Japanese-Brazilian visual artist. She used to do paintings, prints, and sculptures. Ohtake was one of the important representatives of informal abstractionism in Brazil. She was 23 years old when she traveled to Brazil to visit her brother.  Then she never returned to Japan because the Pacific Theater of World War 2 was happening there. According to the information, Tommy Ohtake started her journey in 1951 when she was 40 years old. She started her journey when she visited the studio of the painter Kisuke Sugano. She was married to Ushio Ohtake and she was blessed with two children including Ruy. She died on 12th February 2015. She died at her residence in Sao Paulo, Brazil when she was 101 years old.
