God of War Ragnarok’s King Hrolf Kraki’s Defeat

Players have been progressing through the game’s numerous bosses since God of War Ragnarok’s November release, but one has tragically fallen to King Hrolf Kraki. Like most other God of War Ragnarok monsters, this adversary can be encountered in Midgard.

However, King Hrolf Kraki is the game’s most robust character, unlike other berserkers. A screenshot from God of War Ragnarok featuring a defeated Kratos and a taunting line of speech from the boss has received over 100 upvotes from Reddit users.

After a break, God of War 2018 brought the PlayStation franchise back to life and attracted many new fans, some of whom have revealed their troubles with the game. Due to his enormous health reserve and sheer power, King Hrolf Kraki, like other God of War Ragnarok enemies, can present a challenge for gamers aiming to finish the most recent God of War journey.

An image from God of War: Ragnarok with Kratos on the ice and surrounded by a blood-red aura highlighting Reddit member IndyGamer363 recently shared his demise. The opposing King Hrolf Kraki’s health bar has been reduced to what appears to be zero in the screenshot.

Yet, he still seems alive as a line of dialogue reveals that he continues to taunt Kratos even after the combat. Kratos, the protagonist of God of War Ragnarok, perishes before the player is prompted to restart the game.

Still, King Hrolf Kraki promises that “you won’t be the last to fall to me,” implying that the foe might continue to battle despite the lack of life essence.

King Hrolf Kraki’s HP in IndyGamer363’s screenshot of God of War Ragnarok is so low that all the player might have needed to win was one more attack. God of War Ragnarok battles sometimes hinges on these split-second choices, with IndyGamer363’s one going more disastrously than they could have anticipated.

IndyGamer363 acknowledged that they rushed into a risky action when they saw the low health bar, which ultimately proved to be their downfall. Many God of War Ragnarok players likes to wait until the R3 prompt appears before celebrating a victory over any bosses.

King Hrolf Kraki in God of War Ragnarok is an optional boss. Therefore players don’t have to defeat him to end their quests, but they must do so to complete the experience and obtain the platinum trophy.

For the PS4 and PS5, God of War Ragnarok is currently accessible.
