Elden Ring PS5: Enthusiast Crafts Colossal Cardboard Tribute to Miyazaki!

Elden Ring PS5: A huge cardboard cutout of Elden Ring creator and FromSoftware Inc. president Hidetaka Miyazaki has been created by a fan.

The maker of the cutout claims it is over twenty feet in height. It’s one of the most out-of-the-ordinary memorials to Elden Ring ever posted online.

Elden Ring was released to physical and online retailers around the globe in 2018. As of this writing, more than 17 million copies of the game had been sold around the world, making it a huge success for developer FromSoftware Inc.

To top it all off, Elden Ring went on to win more Game of the Year awards in 2020 than The Last of Us Part 2 did the previous year. There are, however, complaints about the game’s most prominent creator among some players.

Fan tributes to FromSoftware games have evolved over the years, from the creative and innovative to the downright bizarre. For instance, a dedicated fan made a patch that added Pokemon to the Elden Ring experience.

Someone named MeanForce1 recently posted on Reddit that they had constructed a life-size cardboard cutout of Japanese director and animator Hidetaka Miyazaki.

Subsequently, the cutout was dubbed “Big Miyazaki” after the appearance of an Elden Ring health bar directly below it in the featured image.

The user, armed with a katana, stares down the opening while the familiar Elden Ring player interface can be seen in the background.

The Soulsborne game series, developed by FromSoftware, is widely considered to have been pioneered by Hidetaka Miyazaki. According to legend, Miyazaki was given control of Demon’s Souls, a game that had already been deemed a failure by the studio.

The game bombed in Japan but became a moderate hit in the West, inspiring the development of Dark Souls. Because of this, the company shifted gears, and Miyazaki quickly rose through the ranks.

There were many changes made to Demon’s Souls for its PlayStation 5 remake compared to its PlayStation 3 original.

However, despite Elden Ring’s enormous popularity, FromSoftware has not yet revealed any downloadable content for the game.

They shocked the industry by announcing last year that Armored Core 6 would be their next game, and it looks like that game will be their main focus for the foreseeable future.

Some Elden Rings followers, however, seem to think of Hidetaka Miyazaki as the most formidable Soulsborne leader. Available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox One S is Elden Ring.
