Elden Ring Colosseum Update: FromSoftware has announced that the much-talked-about colosseum downloadable content for Elden Ring will be released on December 7 for no additional cost.
A new teaser reveals that the upcoming Colosseum Update will provide player vs player modes that will allow players to compete in the various big arenas located throughout The Lands Between.
The trailer doesn’t elaborate on the mechanics of these new game types, but it does show what look to be one-on-one doubles and even three-on-three clashes. Even the trailer’s synopsis talks of free-for-alls. It says, “Come forth, warriors, and bask in the majesty of the Colosseum.”
Players will be able to participate in duels, free-for-alls, and team fights in the “Colosseums of Limgrave, Lyndell, and Caelid.” The Colosseums have always been part of the game, but they have never been open to players.
Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseum.

Nonetheless, that didn’t prevent some explorers from venturing inside the region, as modders had already had it functioning by April.
Even though PvP wasn’t an option, many fight scenes reminiscent of the gladiator genre were identified, such as battles between warriors and gigantic lions.

Multiple Grace Sites were discovered nearby, indicating that FromSoftware may one day make it possible to visit any Colosseum.
But now we know for sure, and tomorrow’s surprise release will be Elden Ring’s first DLC outside of routine updates and patches.

Elden Ring Colosseum Update Final Lines
Although a release date hasn’t been set, the upgrade has been anticipated for some time. Since the beginning of the game, the Colosseum in Elden Ring has been off-limits. However, considering the size and design of the building, gamers have long conjectured that it might be used in post-launch content. Although it was unclear if that was paid DLC or an update, speculation frequently went toward the former, so the news that this is free only makes the offer better.
We gave Elden Ring a perfect score of 10 out of 10 and wrote, “Elden Ring is a tremendous iteration on what FromSoftware established with the Souls series, adding its mercilessly tough combat to an amazing open environment that gives us the flexibility to select our route.”
