The official report claimed that the tremors were felt in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra at 5:09 am in the morning. The earthquake was said to be at a depth of 9 km. After feeling the tremors in Hingoli many people of the region took to social media and posted stories about the earthquake. Later, the news of the earthquake was also confirmed by the National Center for Seismology through a Twitter post.
