On 16th November 2023, Thursday at around 9.34 am, an earthquake of the magnitude of 3.9 on the Ritcher Scale officially hit the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, Doda. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 hit Jammu and Kashmir Doda this morning as the entire district reeled under the bus tragedy incident that happened yesterday. The recent bus accident took the lives of 39 people. The bus was carrying a total of 55 passengers. On 15th November 2023, Wednesday the bus skidded off the road near the Trungal-Assar on the Batote-Kishtwar national highway and it fell 300 feet downhill. A total of 39 passengers lost their lives. Today, and earthquake of 3.9 hit Jammu and Kashmir Doda so on the same day which means on 16th November 2023, Thursday, officials gave a statement in which they said that there was another accident which has occurred. A massive fire broke out sweeping through various houses in Doda in the early morning. Officials have clearly said that at around 4:30 am today, they received a call regarding some houses in the Bhaderwah area of the Doda district having caught fire. So immediately firefighters reached the scene. Almost five fire tenders rushed to the scene to control the situation. It is not known how this incident occurred.
