It has been claimed that the powerful magnitude of the 6.3 earthquake was followed by a strong aftershock that took the lives of dozens of people in western Afghanistan on 7th October 2023, Saturday. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, around 320 people were killed because of the earthquake.
