Another Man Dies In Highgate Underground Station On The Same Day

The second incident happened at a different underground station on Friday afternoon when police responded with the emergency services at Highgate Underground Station at 1 p.m. The authorities announced, “A person has died after being hit by a London Underground train in the second casualty on the Tube tracks in a single day. British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to Highgate Underground station at 1 pm today, Friday, September 22, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.”
Shortly after the fatal incident occurred at Highgate Underground Station, the London Ambulance Service also dispatched an air ambulance to the scene along with a medic in a fast response car, members of the hazardous area response team, and an incident response officer. The emergency personnel arrived at the scene within a few minutes but the person had succumbed to his injuries sustained in an accident with the train.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said they were called at 12:54 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, to reports of a person hit by a train at Highgate Underground Station, N6. Following the death of a person at Highgate Underground Station, the station was closed due to an earlier customer incident. However, the tickets were being accepted on London Buses. Partially, the Northern Line was also closed between East Finchley and Archway for some hours. This was the second death where someone had been hit by a train in just one day.
