Dorothy Vigna was born to her parents Peter Vigna and Lucy Vigna, in San Francisco on April 5, 1949. She attended Balboa High School before going to San Francisco State where she gained a BA degree in Liberal Studies. Further, in 2004, Dorothy went on to do a Master’s in Catholic School Teaching at the University of San Francisco. She debuted her career at Besse Carmichael School located in San Francisco. Later, Dorothy taught at St. Philip School, St. Michael’s School, and Our Lady of the Visitacion School. She served for more than 50 years. She retired two years ago in 2021.
