Diablo 4 Authentication Servers Are Offline!

Diablo 4 early access players are having difficulty logging in owing to continued troubles with Blizzard’s authentication systems.

The issue originally surfaced in the Diablo 4 subdivision, where players were having difficulty connecting to the server. Players appear to be told “Queued for play – start play pending” after picking their character… Nothing occurs after that. Absolutely.

Blizzard has confirmed the issue on their social media channels in the last half hour, stating: “Diablo 4: We are currently investigating an issue affecting our authentication servers, which resulted in failed authentication.” Alternatively, there may be slow login attempts.”

There have been no additional updates, but at least we know Blizzard is on the case, eh? For the most part, it appears that Diablo 4 has begun a surprisingly seamless Early Access period on most platforms… He is unless you’re playing on PS5.

Some gamers complained that even after purchasing Diablo 4’s deluxe or ultimate edition, they were unable to progress past the login stage for the four-day early access period.

We gave the action RPG five out of five stars, describing it as a “meticulously crafted action RPG.” [that] raises the bar for isometric, open-world adventures.

We wrote in our Diablo 4 review

“Perhaps the most daring quality of Diablo 4 is the move toward an open world in the ‘modern’ sense.”

“What could have been a featureless, bland expansion is, instead, a delight. Filled with intrigue and danger, Sanctuary’s open world fits the Diablo formula like a glove, providing a place in which the game’s eerie beauty and The bold mechanical design are matched beautifully.”
