Bungie has shown the unique jacket for the upcoming Root of Nightmares raid in Destiny 2 Lightfall, which will only be accessible to players who complete it.
The jacket that will be awarded to players of Destiny 2 Lightfall who finish the upcoming Root of Nightmares raid has been unveiled by Bungie. For the most dedicated and skilled raiders in Destiny 2, Bungie has a history of providing special rewards.
The initial raid of Lightfall carries on this custom. There will be other Destiny 2 awards available for those who complete the Root of Nightmares raid within the first two weeks, but if you don’t want to buy Bungie’s exclusive jacket, you still have the option to do so.
Even with so many thrilling Destiny 2 raids already out there, Root of Nightmares is shaping up to be a significant event in the series. Not only does Root of Nightmares seem to have elements that are relevant to both the Traveler and the Witness, but it also seems to have elements that aren’t.
It’s a fact with the introduction of the Lightfall update, developer Bungie has significantly increased the game’s difficulty for Destiny 2. That means Root of Nightmares may be far more challenging than the other raids in Destiny 2.
Due to the greater difficulty level in Lightfall, the Root of Nightmares, raid jacket may be even rarer than the other Destiny 2 raid jackets. On March 10 at 9:00 AM PT, the official release of Root of Nightmares will occur.
Before March 21, players who have completed the raid will have their Bungie accounts marked as eligible to purchase the exclusive Root of Nightmares raid jacket.

This jacket is high quality all the way through. This jacket is cotton, lined with polyester twill, and lightly padded with polyester. Twin molle straps on each sleeve, fireteam, sull, and raid patches on the chest and sleeves, and a Destiny 2 logo embroidered on the back.
Above the left breast pocket, a unique patch will be sewn in with each player’s Destiny 2 Gamertag. The cost is commensurate with the jacket’s high quality. Raiders in Destiny 2 can expect to shell out a hefty $150.
Other than a $150 jacket, Bungie has different rewards for raiders. The $20 Root of Nightmares raid pin is accessible to anyone who completes the raid after March 21, while the $23 Dream Warrior raid pin is awarded to those who have completed all raid Triumphs. Players may celebrate their Root of Nightmares victory without shelling out the recommended $150.

While most gamers of Destiny 2 won’t spend $150 on a jacket, it’s fantastic to see Bungie putting in the effort. It’s a chance to show appreciation for the material that Bungie puts out, for the way the Destiny 2 community prepares for content, and for the most loyal players. Starting at 9:00 AM PT on March 10 is the debut of Root of Nightmares.
Destiny 2 may be purchased today for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox One X/S.
