Demon Slayer Season 3: Fans of “Demon Slayer” who feared the end of Tanjiro and Nezuko (and everyone else) could relax; a third season is on the way. After an incredible finale in May of 2022, the second season of the massively popular anime franchise Demon Slayer came to a close.
The spinoff/sequel film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train had a phenomenal year, helping to propel the original series to another record-breaking 12 months. Back in 2020, when it was first released, Mugen Train was a huge success at the box office, eventually becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time.
What lies ahead for Tanjiro and the Hashira Corps now that the dust has settled in the entertainment district in their ongoing battle against Muzan Kibutsuji? Learn all about season three of “Demon Slayer” right here.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Plot
Swordsmith Village, the ninth arc of the original manga, will serve as the primary plot point for season three. Fans of the anime can now find out (roughly) what the future holds for Tanjiro and the gang because the manga ended in 2020.
The events of the Entertainment District arc, which concluded with Tanjiro and Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui’s victory over the demon siblings Gyutaro and Daki, are immediately followed by those of the Swordsmith Village arc.

Tanjiro’s demon-slaying sword was, fortunately, the only permanent casualty of this epic battle. Tanjiro, in season three of Demon Slayer, visits the Swordsmith Village to have Hotaru Haganezuka fix his sword.
Tanjiro and company will undoubtedly face an army of demons during their stay (including an Upper-Rank Six that splits themselves across multiple bodies). Lucky for us, Muichiro Tokito, aka Mist Hashira, steps in to deal with the situation.
Regarding the international success of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Satoshi Hino (Rengoku) knew precisely what was needed (via AnimeNewsNetwork). I’m thrilled to hear that both Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Japanese animation have found an enthusiastic audience beyond Japan.
The themes of this anime are universally relatable: family devotion, the value of life, and seizing every moment. I count it as a great good fortune that everyone everywhere has united in this feeling. Season 3 must maintain the progression of these central ideas to continue the show’s success.
