Company of Heroes 3 is a real-time strategy game for Windows that was made by Relic Entertainment and put out by Sega. The game is a sequel to Company of Heroes 2 and is set in the Italian and North African theaters of World War II.
In Company of Heroes 3, players assume the role of the Allies during their invasion of Italy and the Axis during the North African campaign. The game has features that have never been seen in the series before, like the Tactical Pause system, which lets the player stop a fight and put commands in a queue to be carried out when the game is started again.
Company of Heroes 3 also has a better damage system that makes it possible for individual tiles and bricks to fall off of buildings when they are destroyed. Italian Partisans are non-player characters who are on your side and can be used on the map or called into fight.
The story is always changing, and how the player interacts with the game’s different leaders can change how the story ends. The game was made by Relic Entertainment. The team picked the Mediterranean theater because it allowed them to include different environments, which is something that players of older games often ask for.
Do you realize that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the second installment in the Jedi series, is bigger and better than the first? It expands upon Cal Kestis’s story. Cal is on a second mission in space five years after the events of Fallen Order:
The team also said that the Italian parts of the game had a “broader palette for environmental gameplay” and that players could use the maps’ verticality to plan their moves and attacks. At the start of development, the company asked modders and competitive players to join a group called the “player council.”
During preproduction, the council worked with Relic to figure out what the new game should be about and where it should take place. The executive producer commented on how it was chosen –
“And we all agreed that we wanted a new theatre, we didn’t want to revisit the Western Front or the Eastern Front. So really, the only two things left were the Mediterranean and Pacific. We put them both on the board, and it was just 10-0. Mediterranean over Pacific.”
Amplitude’s Games2Gether service let people test out Company of Heroes 3 before it was officially announced. Shortly after the game was announced, it was possible to try it out for a limited time. Relic and Sega, which will sell the game, said that it will be available for Windows in July 2021.
It was supposed to come out on November 17, 2022, but the release date was pushed back to February 23, 2023. The release of console variants of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2023 was announced during The Game Awards 2022.
In August 2022, the Polish toy company Cobi said that it had gotten a license from Relic Entertainment to make brick sets with themes from North Africa and Italy. On April 13, 2023, it was reported that the game would come out for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 30, 2023.
