The sequel to Cities: Skylines was announced at the Paradox Presentation Event and is scheduled for release in 2023. Just days before the eighth anniversary of the first popular city builder Cities: Skylines, developers Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive announced Cities: Skylines 2.
The trailer, shown last, received a standing ovation. This is what we know at the moment. Cities: Skylines 2 aspires to be more realistic while granting players greater freedom to design their metropolis.
It’s scheduled for a 2023 release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Furthermore, it will be accessible to Xbox Game Pass customers from the get-go at no additional cost.

Despite the lack of actual gameplay footage in the introduction film, Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order, has promised new features such as extensive modding tools, a fully realized economic system, and more.
Colossal Order takes what was learned and created in the original game and applies it to more complex construction tools with more customization options.
