Fans were surprised with the first season of Chucky. We had some doubts, despite how much we liked this demon-possessed doll. I did, at the very least. The series may have debuted in time for Halloween, but horror fans may enjoy the exciting action at any time! We’re still all about Chucky as the holidays approach! Sadly, the first season ended after only 8 episodes. However, not all of it is awful.

Is Chucky Season 2 Happening?
Yes! The network moved quickly to renew the show, and on November 29, Deadline announced that Chucky had been picked up by USA Network and SYFY for a second season. The source states that NBCUniversal estimates the horror program attracted 9.5 million viewers in its debut season, which is more than enough horror enthusiasts to sustain the show. You can binge-watch the entire first season of Chucky on Peacock if you haven’t done so already.
Chucky Season 2 Release Date
The source doesn’t specify a specific date for the release of Chucky season 2. To ensure that it once again comes in time for Halloween, we’re ready to wager that it will happen in late September or early October of 2022. Production for season 2 has reportedly started, according to The Wrap.
Chucky Season 2 Cast
Who will return for more fun playtime with Chucky? Well, those who survived the first season! This includes Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Devon Evans (Björgvin Arnarson), Lexy Cross (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Chucky/Charles Lee Ray (voiced by Brad Dourif), and Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent). Also, starring will be Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Barbara Alyn Woods, and Jennifer Tilly.
When And Where To Watch
Despite recently dropping the Child’s Play movies from their library, Chucky Season 1 premiered in the fall of 2021 on Syfy and USA Network. It is also still available to stream on Peacock among the many other horror selections on the streaming site. The program debuted just in time for Halloween and even featured the macabre occasion in an episode, in which Chucky was shown trick-or-treating while wearing a Hello Kitty mask.
Season 2 of Chucky is scheduled to run on Syfy and USA Network in the fall of 2022, once again just in time for the scary season. A Season 3 is rumored to air at some point in 2023, however, an official start date has not yet been confirmed.
Chucky Season 2 Plot
While Chucky’s eight-episode first season closed up a number of plot threads, including Jake’s coming out, Chucky’s terrible past, and scores of killings, the season finale also left many questions unanswered and the fate of some adored characters unclear.
The events that led to Andy being trapped in a vehicle full of dolls and being threatened with a gun by a Tiffany doll in possession were wonderfully set up for Season 2 to disclose what transpired. The outcome of Jake and Devon’s romance as well as what will happen to Nica, who has had her leg amputated and is being held prisoner by Tiffany, whose soul is possessed by a fictionalized version of Jennifer Tilly, will likely also be addressed in the upcoming season.
While fans of the series were thrilled to see Alex Vincent’s Andy from the original film and Jennifer Tilly, who joined the franchise as Tiffany in 1998’s Bride of Chucky, as well as hear Brad Douriff’s Chucky’s familiar voice, a new cast of talented children were also welcomed to the scene for the series.
Zachary Arthur as Jake Wheeler, Björgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, and 2022 Daytime Emmy winner Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross are the three young leads who are back for Season 2. Teo Briones, who played Junior Wheeler, lost his character in Season 1, and Devon Sawa, who played both of his characters, both died in the first season; it is uncertain if any of them will be making a comeback as new characters.
Chucky Season 2 New Cast Member
A large number of new cast members have been added to the horror series for Season 2, in addition to the returning cast. Meg Tilly, the sister of Chucky actor Jennifer Tilly in real life, starts off the new arrivals. Meg Tilly won’t be the first on the program to keep it all in the family, though it’s unclear what role she’ll play. The human equivalent of her father’s renowned character Charles Lee Ray was represented in Season 1 by Brad Dourif’s real-life daughter Fiona Dourif.
Alyvia Alyn Lind and Barbara Alyn Woods, a mother-daughter acting team from Bound (which also starred Jennifer Tilly), Tony Nappo from Saw II, Lara Jean Chorostecki from Hannibal, and Sutton Stracke from the reality show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were also cast in the series. Barbara Alyn Woods, who played Mayor Michelle Cross in the first season, is scheduled to return.
Chucky Season 2 Synopsis
A formal summary has not yet been made public. That is premature at this time. It’s not too difficult to guess, though. The exciting cliffhanger from Season 1 about what’s to come and Tiffany’s unexpected debut (the doll, not the human)
