As per the report, police reported that traffic disruptions have been expected from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning in the area of the main ponds. Delhi Traffic Police wrote on the X platform,” On Sunday, lots of people will be congregating at diverse ponds since afternoon. The prayers will be offered at the time of sunset. The traffic police suggested commuters avoid the roads close to the sites given for the Chhath Puja celebration to ensure smooth traffic movement. The ponds at Sonia Vihar, Krishan Market Jhilmil Colony, opposite D-Block Mangol Puri, DDA Land close to JPC Hospital, Tughlakabad Kaya Maya Ground, Chhat Puja Kalyan Samiti Sainik Enclave, etc, could see heavy football of devotees, the advisory stated.
