OLAT, Kan. (AP) – The actress, who played a small role in Captain America: Captain America: The First Avenger, is charged with her mother’s death blow in a suburban home in Kansas City.
38-year-old Molly Fitzgerald was arrested on Tuesday by police in Olat, Kansas, according to Kansas City Star. She is charged with second-degree murder and imprisoned for $ 500,000. It was not immediately clear whether she had a lawyer who could comment on her name.
She is charged with the death of 68-year-old Patricia Tee Fitzgerald, who, according to authorities, was found dead on December 20 at her home in Olat.
The IMDb website says that Molly Fitzgerald is a director and producer, as well as an actress. She mainly worked on low-budget films, including Lawful Truth in 2014 and The Creeps in 2017.
In Captain America, she played Stark Gear and worked as assistant director Joe Johnson. The film raised 176.6 million dollars in the United States.
“Participating in this performance was one of the best events in my life,” Fitzgerald told the 2011 comic book.
Patricia Fitzgerald was in the process of moving back to the Kansas City area, having lived for several decades in the Houston area, told her brother Gary Hunziker.
Their family grew up on a farm in northeast Missouri. Patricia Fitzgerald studied physiotherapy at the University of Missouri and moved to Kansas City. She then moved to Texas, where her husband had a law firm, said 72-year-old Hunziker from Keokek, Iowa.
Hunziker said he knew few details about the circumstances of his sister’s death.
“We were in shock,” he said. But, “it does not matter, the circumstances – the loss of a sister is what it is.”
