Violence at polling booths in Dimani constituency of Madhya Pradesh. The polling station where stone pelting happened is said to be 147-148 of Dimani Assembly constituency in Mirghan, Morena. It is said that the stone pelting happened between the supporters of the two parties. Reportedly, one person got injured during the stone pelting. Speaking of Chhattisgarh elections, today a total of 958 candidates including Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Deputy CM T S Singh Deo, four MPs, and eight state ministers, are competing for victory in the battle for 70 seats. In Madhya Pradesh, the voting commenced in all the 230 assembly seats of the state. The Chief electoral officer of Chhattisgarh Reena Babasaheb Kangale said on Thursday during a press conference, “The second phase of voting for Chhattisgarh legislative assembly will be held tomorrow. In the second phase, voting will be done at 70 legislative assembly regions in 22 districts. The time for voting for all 70 legislative assemblies will be 8 am to 5 pm,”

The chief electoral officer of Madhya Pradesh Anupam Rajan said, “Along with this, voting at 55 polling stations in Mandla district and 40 polling stations in Dindori district will also be held from 7 am to 3 pm,” However, voting in nine polling booths in Bindranawagarh, a Naxal-affected area, will be from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. A total of 2,533 candidates are competing in MP but the main fight is between the ruling BJP and the opposition party INC. As many as 5,60,60,925 voters are eligible to cast their votes on Friday.
