According to reports, the corporation intends to implement the shift in the coming year or perhaps in 2024. According to Gurman, Apple has spent the last few months reprogramming Siri to recognize the command “Siri” rather than the more common “Hey Siri.”
Gurman points out that this seemingly little adjustment actually necessitates extensive AI training and engineering because the digital assistant must be able to interpret the single wake word in a wide variety of accents and dialects.
The current two-word Apple trigger phrase improves Siri’s chances of recognizing it. According to reports, Apple has been conducting internal tests with the new, less complicated trigger phrase. With the introduction of Siri’s fifth voice, users no longer needed to give any thought to the gender of their AI voice assistant.

It would also give Apple an advantage against Google, whose wake word is “Hey Google” or “OK Google.” However, as today’s research indicates, this is no easy task, and the transition requires much preparation and training.
