Amazon Games is Bringing Out Brand New Tomb Raider: Crystal Dynamics has announced that Amazon Games will publish the next Tomb Raider game. It will be cross-platform and, according to the developers, will be “the biggest, most expansive Tomb Raider game to date.”
The new Tomb Raider game, which was first announced in April, is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and aims to “push the envelope of fidelity and to deliver the high-quality cinematic action/adventure experience that fans deserve,” as described by Tomb Raider franchise general manager Dallas Dickinson. Today’s announcement includes the following new information:

Crystal Dynamics has agreed to develop a new Tomb Raider title for multiple platforms. Amazon Games has announced that it will publish the game worldwide and provide full support.
The new, unnamed Tomb Raider game is a narrative-driven, single-player adventure that continues Lara Croft’s story.
It has all the hallmarks that have made Tomb Raider a cherished gaming franchise, such as putting players in command of the fearless and multifaceted hero Lara Croft and placing them in a world that encourages and rewards exploration and inventive pathfinding, as well as challenging puzzles and a wide variety of adversaries.
Unreal Engine 5 is the most powerful and cutting-edge game engine ever made, and Crystal Dynamics is using it to its full potential in the largest and most expansive Tomb Raider game ever made. The game is still in the planning stages, and more information will be provided later.
Amazon is not messing around when it comes to video games, it turns out.

Amazon Games v.p. Christoph Hartmann called “Tomb Raider” one of the most popular IPs in entertainment history. The opportunity to work with such a venerable studio and series is an honor for Amazon Games.
Wild to see Embracer and Amazon joining hands on such an iconic IP. https://t.co/8syCH7P6aj

We can’t wait to work with the brilliant and forward-thinking folks at Crystal Dynamics to bring fans worldwide to the next chapter in Lara Croft’s story.
Six months ago, I said Embracer buying Tomb Raider/Crystal Dynamics was the company’s biggest push into AAA.
Turns out it’s going to be Amazon’s.https://t.co/GH8ngBE4FP

We’re looking for something truly transformative, and in Amazon, we’ve found a studio that shares our goals and aspirations for the Lara Croft universe as a whole. They’re in a great position to reimagine the nature of publisher-developer partnerships, and we can’t wait to work with them to create the most ambitious Tomb Raider game ever.
