According to the source, Amazon.com has now officially cut down 180 jobs in the game division at least in the second round of the layoffs in the week by the online retailer. And also the digital streaming provider in the broader restructuring in the mail which is viewed on 13th November 2023, Monday. This has been done after the initial restructuring in April 2023 which became the point that the team is clear that they need to focus on the resources more on the areas that are growing with great potential so that it can drive the business forward. This has been officially claimed by the Vice President of Amazon Games, Christoph Hartmann.

At this time, Amazon has started to inform the employees since the morning of Monday that their roles have been officially eliminated in the second cut to the division this year. In the last week, the company officially cut the jobs in the streaming music and podcast division. The company has also cut the small number of jobs in the human resources unit which is known as the People Experience and Technology.

The company has informed us that the games division is offering downloadable versions of some video games and same as well as the Twitch channels and some other services. Amazon has to remain focused on developing and publishing games like Blue Protocol and some other free games that are offered within Prime Gaming. Prime Gaming is a perk that is offered at $139 annual Prime membership which includes streaming and free streaming video. Earlier in April 2023, the company cut more than 100 jobs in the games unit. In the third quarter, Amazon’s net income far surpassed analysts’ estimates and the Seattle-based company is forecasting the revenue in the final year quarter which is in line with some expectations.
