Age of Empires II gameplay
Real-time strategy games are what Age of Empires II is all about, just like the previous entries in the series. Players aren’t in charge of a single avatar, but rather of a whole town, they must develop from scratch. There are four “Ages” that players must progress through as they expand their territories: the “Dark Age,” “Feudal Age,” “Castle Age,” and “Imperial Age.” As you progress through the levels, you get access to more advanced buildings and equipment.
Either the game’s campaign or one of its other modes can be played by the player. Most players will be at home with the Random Map mode, in which they will face off against an opposition team on a map that has been produced at random.
The use of military force, the creation of Wonders, and the acquisition and protection of map artifacts are all viable options for these groups. The more combat-oriented Deathmatch mode is available, along with the regicide game in which players must eliminate the enemy monarchy.
Age of Empires II Story
Five campaigns are included in the Age of Empires II base game. Every one of these promotions is inspired by actual people and moments in history. In the opening game, you’ll join William Wallace in his struggle against the English. In the sequel, you lead the French army against the English as Joan of Arc.
