The remake of the first two Advance Wars games for Switch, which was delayed for a year, will come out on April 21. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp can be bought from the Nintendo Switch eShop, and you can put in a pre-order for it right now.
During a Nintendo Direct presentation about future Switch games, Nintendo said when Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp would be out. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was supposed to come out in April 2022, but Russia’s invἀsion of Ukraine in March forced Nintendo to delay the game for good.
At the time, Nintendo just said that the delay was due to “recent world events,” but the early Advance Wars games’ images of invading infantry, mortar fire, and bombing runs, even though they were cartoony, may have been too close to real-world violence for the family-friendly company. It is not clear right away if Nintendo has changed the content of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp because of the wἀr in Ukraine.

At E3 2021, it was first said that Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising would be remade. Re-Boot Camp has “reimagined and rebuilt” the two games. Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising are both turn-based strategy war games in which players take on the part of commanding officers (COs), each with their own special abilities.
As members of the Orange Star Army, players take on the roles of Andy, Max, Sami, and other COs on grid-based maps to defend against attacks from other forces.
