Patch 10.1, called “Embers of Neltharion,” has been announced by World of Warcraft. This content update adds a new zone, raid, and story chapter to World of Warcraft. It is the first major patch for Dragonflight.
Players have found hints of secrets hidden beneath the Dragon Isles all over Dragonflight. Now, it looks like the heroes of World of Warcraft will be digging deep into draconian history in Patch 10.1 when they enter Zaralek Cavern, a large underground area that Neltharion once used as a base of operations.
As players explore the new World of Warcraft zone, they will meet the Niffen, a race of humanoids that look like moles and the fifth Renown faction of Dragonflight.

The Niffen, along with a clan of friendly Drogbar, will help them find their way through the underground caverns. Players will explore volcanic caverns ruled by Djaradin elders, sulfurous pools full of failed experiments, and beautiful crystalline caverns.
Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, the second raid in Dragonflight, is also added by Embers of Neltharion. This secret place used to be Neltharion’s research lab.
It is full of dark experiments and old knowledge. Players will go on adventures with Wrathion, Sabellian, and Ebyssian as they try to get the last secrets of Neltharion from the Primalists and the Sundered Flame rebels.
Fyrakk Assaults are a new world event that will be added by the new patch. Fyrakk, the Primal Incarnate of Fire, will attack different places on the Dragon Isles during this event. He is looking for something to help his friends.
Players can also look forward to new local stories, like one about Tyr and another about Kalegos and the Blue Dragonflight. World of Warcraft is also getting a new type of dragon and new dragon-riding abilities, as well as new gear that is both powerful and stylish, more mounts, and more cosmetic items.
Even more exciting, with Embers of Neltharion, World of Warcraft is finally letting players form guilds that include people from different factions.
This much-anticipated feature is the next step after cross-faction grouping, raiding, and PvP were added in Shadowlands. It will let players play with their friends no matter what faction they prefer.
Along with the exciting news about Embers of Neltharion, World of Warcraft also announced when Patch 10.0.7, Return to the Forbidden Reach, will be released.
Even though this is a smaller story update, it has a lot of great content and will help bridge the gap between Dragonflight and Embers of Neltharion.
Patch 10.0.7 comes out on March 21 and while Embers of Neltharion doesn’t have a release date yet, Patch 10.1 should be coming to the Public Test Realm very soon. World of Warcraft can now be played on PC.
